Registers
Member Directory
The individuals and organisations that have joined the Association and committed to its code of conduct. Membership records participation — it is not an assessment, and it is not verification.
What this directory is, and is not
- Listing
- establishes who an organisation is and what role it says it performs.
- Membership
- records participation in the Association and commitment to its Code of Conduct.
- Verification
- records that a practitioner or organisation has undergone a defined assessment for a stated role and scope.
- Partnership
- records support for the Association's work.
None of these statuses should be mistaken for another. Holding one never produces another, and only statuses actually held are shown.
Individual members
Individual membership is for the people who do the work of this market — consultants, introducers, brokers, originators, administrators, servicers and the rest. A person does not need to belong to a member organisation, and an organisation’s membership does not make its people members.
Individual Member. Membership records participation in the Association and commitment to its Code of Conduct. It does not mean that the individual has undergone practitioner verification.

01 — Reading an entryWhat an entry here means
It means the subject joined the Association and agreed to be bound by its code of conduct, and that they can be held to it through the complaints procedure. That is a real obligation with real consequences — a material breach can lead to a warning, corrective action, suspension, termination of membership, withdrawal of the member mark, and a factual public status update where that is justified.
What it does not mean is that anybody has assessed the member. Nothing here rests on evidence about competence, conduct or performance. The assessment is verification, it is a separate application with its own criteria and its own fee, and a member who holds it appears on the Verified Practitioner Register as well as here, with each status shown independently.
A member is not verified because their firm is, and a firm is not verified because one of its people is. Those are different subjects, assessed separately or not at all.
02 — JoiningHow to join
Individual and organisation membership, what each undertakes, what it costs and how to apply are set out on the membership page. Write to members@privatelendingassociation.co.za.
Entries appear only with the subject’s recorded permission. Being a member is not consent to be published in a public directory; that is a separate permission, asked for separately.
