The Association newsletter
Occasional email when something is published that a private lender should know about. No fixed schedule, never more than monthly, and one click to leave.
The Association publishes guides, standards, public registers and research on private lending in South Africa. This list exists so that you hear about the parts that matter to you without having to check the site.
What arrives
Occasional email when something is published that a private lender should know about — a new guide, a change in the law, a warning, or a new entry on a register.
In practice that means a new guide or explainer, a change in the law that affects how you lend, a warning worth passing on, or a new entry on one of the public registers. Nothing else.
No fixed schedule, and never more than monthly. There is no schedule to fill, so there are no emails written to fill one.
What we do with your address
- Your address is used for this and nothing else. It is never sold, never rented, and never passed to a partner.
- Every email carries a one-click unsubscribe, and leaving takes effect immediately.
- No tracking pixels, and no profiling of what you read.
We ask for an address and nothing else — no name, no company, no interests. The less that is held, the less there is to lose, and under POPIA an address given for one purpose may not quietly be used for another. How the Association handles personal information generally is set out at privacy and cookies.
Leaving
Every email carries a one-click unsubscribe and it takes effect immediately. If that ever fails, write to info@privatelendingassociation.co.za and you will be removed by hand.
You do not have to subscribe to use anything here. Every guide, register and standard the Association publishes is free and open, with no registration — start at the library.
This page explains how something works. It is not financial, legal or tax advice, it takes no account of your circumstances, and nothing here is a recommendation to lend. Private lending places capital at risk.
